. . . This is classic Ragtime at its best, performed by between six and eleven musicians attired in white tie and tails. They can also be accompanied by turn of the century dancers in period costumes, doing the Two-Step, the Turkey Trot and the Cake Walk. There’s never a dull moment as Rags to Riches plays sparkling renditions of such Scott Joplin favorites as The Entertainer, The Maple Leaf Rag, Easy Winners, and A Breeze from Alabama. Elegant waltzes and tangos, as well as early New Orleans jazz selections like The Tiger Rag and Alexander’s Ragtime Band complete the group’s musical journey a hundred years back in time.
